Smart money has you remembering as few things as possible as well as possible if you’re cramming for the United States Immigration Interview, and the two popular holidays to remember would probably be:

1. Independence Day (you need to know it’s July 4th in two other questions – one of them you have to know that it all kicked off in 1776)
2. Thanksgiving – this is always a handy one to know as in my humble opinion, this is probably one of the more popular holidays.

Quite simply, the date that the Declaration of Independence was adopted is the one used to celebrate Independence Day – July 4th. It’s also a national holiday which means it’s a good one to know.
